Membership
As a new organisation, our membership is expanding and set to increase in the coming months. We currently have 20 members from the European Union and the United States. It is possible to join HaT on an individual or organisational basis. How to apply and the fee structure are outlined in the Membership Criteria Document.
Our members are a mixture of experts in health and trade, or mainly trade with a health interest, or health with a trade interest. The glue that binds us together is a desire to change unhealthy trade agreements and find ways to reconstruct more healthy and equitable trade agreements where civil society, unions and communities have an equal voice in the process.
The founding members were the driving force of the organisation in 2015 and in January 2016 we held our first physical General Assembly.
